HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

The Human Resource Manager leads & oversees all activities of the Human Resource department to ensure maximum operational success. Areas of responsibility include driving and monitoring overall organization culture and health, policy/procedures review, employee relations, performance review management, recruitment, driving employee engagement and staffing. Duties include, but are not limited to, the hiring and termination processes, new hire orientation, developing programs for training and employee development, administrative oversight of benefit and pension programs, personnel record management and any communications connected with HR. The HR Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies and procedures, work with leaders to resolve employee relations issues and prepare various HR reports and metrics that support business objectives. 

 Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Promote and adhere to the Core Values and Behavior Code.

  • Support organizational change through direct participation in planning and project management in partnership with company management.

  • Recommend, prepare, update and implement human resource policies and procedures including maintaining employee handbook.

  • Manage recruitment and hiring of staff, both exempt and non-exempt, including recommendations on staffing plans, counseling on candidate selection, extending employment offers, orientation for new employees, conducting and analyzing exit interviews, and recommending process changes accordingly. 

  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work performance by advising supervisors to coach and manage employees and counseling employees and supervisors.

  • Plan and manage the evaluation process for employee performance results, including the salary review process, compensation benchmarks, and recommending revisions.

  • Responsible for employee relations and working with management to investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints.

  • Maintain compliance record keeping including statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates. Document attendance, time-off requests, non-scheduled time off, personal changes, salary changes, and other changes as needed.

  • Manage and maintain benefit programs, working with third party administrators and brokers to include: 401(k)/retirement plans; health, dental, disability and life insurances; and other business-related association insurances. 

  • Lead company compliance with all existing federal and state requirements including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affordable Care Act (ACA), Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

  • Ensure compliance, monitoring and updating I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, and maintain files for I-9 forms. Ensure compliance with all federal and state posting and notice requirements.

  • Maintain all OSHA logs. Report work-related injuries to worker’s comp insurer, assist with accident investigations, coordinate employee medical care and work with insurer to efficiently close the cases.

  • Work with management team to develop and maintain company Safety Program.

  • Assess benefit trends and needs, direct the processing of benefit claims, and conduct employee educational programs on benefits offered.

  • Provide guidance on the impact of new developments related to HR best practices and pertinent local and federal laws and regulations. 

  • Conduct orientations, training programs, corrective actions and development initiatives. Provide specific advisement to managers in order to improve leadership effectiveness.

  • Maintain the organization’s structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions. Maintain company staff organization charts.

  • Promote inter-department cooperation through active involvement with all staff members and peers on the company’s leadership team.

  • Plan and coordinate company events and parties.

  • Continually strive to develop personal and professional skills.

Position Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years professional experience.

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification a plus.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the human resources function.

INDUSTRIAL PAINTER

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Painter. A Painter performs work under general supervision and in accordance with engineering standards and standard shop manufacturing, safety and housekeeping practices. The Painter will set up paint jobs from start to finish which includes washing, masking, blasting and painting, to ensure all paint finishes meet or exceed customer requirements and that all hazardous materials are handled properly. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Promote and adhere to the Mission Statement, Core Values and Behavior Code.

  • Prepare units for painting by cleaning, sand blasting, sanding surfaces and masking as specified.

  • Paint surfaces of metal parts using spray painting equipment adhering to specific surface preparation and painting techniques.

  • Apply a variety of coatings including enamels, epoxies, urethanes and military coatings from various paint manufacturers.

  • Mix paint precisely to manufacturer and customer specifications.

  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications regarding paint requirements.

  • Inspect parts using and interpreting inspection equipment, such as anchor profile gages, dry film thickness gages to verify finish requirements are met.

  • Accurately document and record all required data needed to comply with each specification.

  • Operate spray booth, oven and ventilation system per specific instructions.

  • Stage and move parts within the paint area using a forklift, hand truck, hoist or crane.

  • Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Position Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2+ years job experience with paint application in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

WELDER 1ST CLASS

We are looking for a skilled Welder 1st Class to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility. Welders operate appropriate equipment to assemble parts with a great deal of precision. A welder must be competent in using various types of equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand, great attention to detail and knowledge of the different welding processes. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Promote and adhere to the Mission Statement, Core Values and Behavior Code.

  • Capable of setting up and operating semiautomatic and fully automatic welding equipment.

  • Ability to weld in various positions (vertical, horizontal and overhead).

  • Proficient in operating welding related equipment such as positioners, jig fixtures, and cutting equipment.

  • Proven ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.

  • Experience reading, understanding and adhering to established weld procedures.

  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment and processes based on drawing requirements; plan welding sequence to maximize efficiency and control distortion.

  • Possess military qualifications in four of five welding processes; SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW AND GTAW.

  • Skilled in carbon arc cutting.

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.

  • Ability to inspect welded surfaces to ensure welds meet the minimum size and appearance requirements.

  • Follow proper material control procedures and record keeping.

  • Perform basic and preventative maintenance on welding equipment.

  • Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Associates Degree, preferred, or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

MATERIAL PREP TECHNICIAN

We are looking for a Material Prep Technician. The Material Prep Technician performs a variety of tasks and functions to assist in preparing materials and parts for the production department.

 Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Read and understand orders and drawings and utilize knowledge of materials, equipment and procedures to prepare materials and parts for further production.

  • Locate and gather materials and supplies needed to check materials for accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to use measuring equipment to check accuracy of cut parts.

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
